On the 25th of May I had my Salary paid into my Standard bank account and I was not notified about it and the illegitimate debit orders that went off my account. I only got my notifications via sms about 10 days later (which was too late for me to even attempt to reverse the debits)... Had I received the sms notification in due time, I would have been better positioned to reverse the debits in due course. The flipping 'sms notification' is a service I am paying for.
This happened three months after I tried withdrawing over R2000 from the Standard bank ATM in Greenstone Mall JHB and none of that money came out. Including my ATM card... I was only re-imbursed 7 days later and not even an apology. Their ATMs are older than my grandfather.
STANDARD BANK'S STANDARDS HAVE DROPPED LOWER THAN THE PRICES AT SHOPRITE.
