I applied for debt consolidation on the Capitec Website on Friday and this morning got a very impersonal SMS to say the application has been declined. I have never been declined for credit in my life. All my accounts are up to date, no unpaids or adverse lsitings. You should think that somebody would phone you and discuss and perhaps request for an income and expnditure. I presume this was a computerbased decosion. I must stress that my wife and I have a bond in joinmt names and appears on boyth our names, and this will affect my affordability if the full instelemnt was used. I requested for consolodation, could somebody not have contatcted me to identify what i want to consolidate and whether they can then make an offer? If this is how a financial services provider operates? Totaly pathetic.
