I contacted ABSA to query why money had been deducted from my account for vehicle insurance without my implied consent either on a recording or written. Surely this practice is Illegal and I would like to see the legislation that allows this kind of banking practice, irrespective of whether I have insurance or not which I do possess and submitted proof of on 6 May 2013. Although I disagree with the practice of refunding in 7 working days money that was taken without legal consent, I still have not received the refund or a response from AIP.
