Slowest service and NO management

I was in ABSA Balfour Park to collect some credit cards. The bank was virtually empty. I didn't record what time I entered the bank, but I'd been standing in the queue for about 10 minutes when I received a text on my phone at 12h29.By 12h46 NOT ONE PERSON ahead of me had been served. I complained to a staffer who was walking around. Her answer was "We're short staffed" and she was abrupt and unhelpful. There were no managers or senior staff members around.By 12h46 I was so annoyed that I called the complaints call centre and laid a complaint. I was finally attended to by 13h00, around 50 minutes after entering the bank. On top of my long wait, the lady who assisted me couldn't find my credit cards, so I left at around 13h05 WITHOUT my cards.

I got back to my office and explained the delay to my colleagues. They said that they'd collected their cards earlier and experienced the SAME delays. They'd ALSO been told by the same person who "helped" me that their cards were not at the branch but had insisted that the cards must be there. The cards were eventually found. Had I known this, I would have insisted they look again. I'm pretty sure my cards are there.

Shoddiest service!!!
