My family is insured with Zurich and the broker is Trust Co. (Ironic name as no one should trust them with any insurance claims!) On the 6 March 2013 my house was broken into and the sum of R94000 was. An accessor form CIC was allocted to the claim and came to my house on the 11 March 2013. The accessor was rude to me and made me feel like a criminal in my own home! After the truma of my, he made me feel like it was my fault I had been robbed. After numerous phone calls to trust co & meetings at thier offices, we decided to go to Zurich's offices today 16 May 2012 where they informed us that the claim had been settled. (Only a 3rd had been paid). We then found out that two weeks ago when the same accessor came back to my house to 'access our risk' or 'get our policies inorder', we had unknowingly signed a release form for our claim. I AM WITH OUT WORDS! Being robbed, having your house ransacked & your personal belongings gone through by disgusting criminals does not compare to the truma that Trust Co, Zurich & CIC accessors have caused my family. word of advice if you are with Trust Co or Zurich cancel immediately as you are better off having NO INSURANCE AT ALL!!
