I would like FNB's stance on the matter.

I applied for your Galaxy s4 promotion - with a Gold Cheque account. I am not an existing customer.

The initial application was done online, a part of the process is to list your expenses, to calculate affordibility, FNB automatically pulls up active accounts from your ITC and adds them to the list. At this point I cancelled the application as the ITC was not up to date.

I contacted the relevent parties (in this case nedbank) and requested that they close the personal loan I took out - as I paid it off and it was showing as outstanding with R22 000, they apologised and issued me with a paid up letter.

I phoned into your call centre with the issue and they said I should send an e-mail to FNB along with the paid up letter- which I did.

About 5 hours later another call centre agent phoned me and restarted the application - I asked her if she had recieved the paid up letter- she then out me on hold for about 8 minutes and said I had to update with the ITC - and that she could not find my paid up letter - and even if she could, they do not accept these letters.

Is this correct?
