Credit Card Account

I have settled the account last year November and asked African Bank to close it and send me a paid up letter, I have been calling them since last year but its like my request is in vain, they did stop the debit order but the account is starting to be in arrears again which I don't understand why, called their card call center, spoke to different people but no one seem to know or explain why the debit order was canceled but the account is still open and i am so tired of calling them even thinking of taking further steps because i am not getting an assistance at all.
