Money taken UNAUTHORISED from bank account by ABSA

I am student at Stellenbosch. At the beginning of my studies I opened a STUDENT account at an Absa branch, where I signed a contract according to which the monthly fixed fees on the student account are approximately 20 rand per month. Since the beginning of this year I noticed a very strange 'transaction fee' being deducted from my account every month ranging from 200-250 rand. THIS IS 1250 RAND IN TOTAL. When I went to inquire about this, I was told that somebody at the pricing department had negligently ignored the fact that my account is a STUDENT account & that I have been charged for every swipe, withdrawal at the Absa ATM etc. I was informed that there will be an investigation (2336049) & Absa MIGHT return the over-charged money to my account. In where I come from, this kind of behaviour is called.

I am absolutely LIVID with the "service" I have received from Absa: 2 months ago my account was frozen BEHIND MY BACK as I hadn't produced my renewed temporary resident permit. I don't mind producing the permit, but what I do mind is the fact that 1) NOBODY told me that I had to do this 2) Absa froze my account WITHOUT ANY NOTIFICATION.

I WILL CHANGE TO FNB!!
