On the 25th of April I submitted my required documentation in Application of a discovery Credit Card. There was a promotion Discovery was running to give double cash back at partner stores for 3 months so long as your card was registered before 1May. I had submitted my documentation in a rush to get the promotion before the due date. All my documentation was complete and I had given all my details required for a quote over the phone days before. I received a response back on the 26th of April to say that due to their own policies and procedures they could not open password protected documents even though I had provided them the password. Consequently I printed out and re-scanned the document the same day and sent through. My card was only then delivered to me today the 8th of May which had then surpassed the cut off period. I called the discovery card number immediately on delivery to explain what had happened to retain the special, the consultant simply said it was too late and irrespective of the delay falling on Discoveries side I would not get the promotion. i said I would then like to cancel the card, and without any attempt at remedy he said that would not be a problem.
