I called three institutes today to ask for settlement figures for my personal loans... I last called them for this information last on the 8th March 2013. Since then I have made two monthly payments on each of these accounts and two of them went down, yet somehow Direct Access's amount I owe has become MORE than what I owed 2 months ago... I feel I am being ripped off by Wesbank/Direct Axis and to think this is like my 3rd or 4th loan I have taken thru them... have they been doing this all the time??? It makes NO LOGICAL SENSE to a layman like myself... or maybe they just think I am stupid??? This is the last time I ever borrow money from these ever again!!! See below figures:
Institute 1: 8 March = R22 749.75 10 May = R22 641.49 Difference = -R108.26 Instalment = R1 144.70
Institue 2: 8 March = R38 652.56 10 May = R38 242.49 Difference = -R410.07 Instalment = R1 811.83
Direct Axis: 8 March R39 756.96 10 May = R40 214.01 Difference = R457.05 Instalment = R1 486.97
SO... YOU SEE MY DILEMMA??? WHAT MAKES THEM CHARGE ME MORE??? Maybe I should ask the banking ombudsman or the newspapers for an answer... SIGH!!!
