I purchased a voucher in September last year for a full VIP Spa Package at Sara Spa in Johannesburg. Due to the popularity of the voucher, we were only able to get a booking for 3 March 2013. Last week, we tried to call the Spa to confirm the appointment but there was no answer to the calls. Upon arrival at the Spa on Sunday, 3 march 2013, we found a sign that said that the Spa has ended their lease with the landlord. There was a number to call for further queries. We tried to call the number numerous times but there was no answer.
In a related incident... 2 weeks ago, I bought another voucher as a present for my aunt in Durban. I have been trying to call the number for the past 2 weeks to make a booking and there is no answer. I have left numerous messages and no one has gotten back to me.
Since this has happened more than once, it begs the question... Doe Groupon not verify whether the suppliers they are getting into business with are legitimate and going to produce the service that Groupons customers are paying for???
I would like to be refunded in full for these 2 vouchers.
