Are there problems at Groupon? Is anyone else experiencing problems with Groupon in so far as delivery of goods ordered and paid for? I have ordered 2 items, total value R4000, and it has taken in excess of 6 weeks for delivery and at this stage I am still waiting for the second item! The voucher does say 'please allow UP TO 4 WEEKS for delivery, but in actual fact when you buy something Groupon does not even have the stock to be able to deliver. When you phone Groupon there is a pre-recorded message that says ' we are still trying to process Xmas orders...!!! '. Very quick to take your order and money, not so quick to deleiver!
I would advise consumers to be very wary of high priced deals with Groupon, especially considering that I heard on local news that the founder and owner of Groupon was dismissed for extremely high losses in the organisation in this last financial year.
