I purchased two sets of driving lessons through GROUPON for Red Star Academy in East London for my nephews in December last year. One of my nephews have already booked their drivers for the 27/02/2013. We called Red Star today only to be told that the vouchers are invalid as they never signed a contract with Groupon & that Groupon just went ahead and placed the add! Apparently 550 peopl have already bought these vouchers... and the academy has only one lesson car and cannot keep up with the demand!
I am utterly shocked and disgusted by both Red Start & Groupon! how could they have not known that this was being advertised & secondly how could Groupon sell this... and when hit the fan not let their customers know & offer refunds?!
I have been supporting Groupon for a while, they will not get a cent of my money or time again. Call them and you wait for ha;f an hour, mail them & you get told that your query has been logged and that somebody will get back to you... as if.
Thank you Groupon... for NOTHING! Now to see if we get our money back so that we can try and book lessons!
