My money is gone

We ordered a physical product from GroupOn last year as a christmas present for someone. We patiently waited for the 6 weeks they estimate for delivery, but to no avail.

After weeks of trying we finally got feedback. They said their supplier is out of stock and that they can't sell us the product anymore. They finally agreed to refund our money.

Weeks later and now they claim that the money has been refunded (but it hasn't). One phonecall and email after another and nobody seems willing to make sure that we get refunded. Quite the opposite.

The call center agents have an agressive and demanding attitude - to the point where they now want us to provide them with our bank statements to prove that we didn't receive the money. (But they aren't willing to provide us with any proof that they actually deposited the money)

Some of my wife's co-workers actually warned us not to order physical goods through them because they had bad experiences.

I guess this teaches us that you shouldn't order from this company.

They can't deliver what they sell to you and then they seem to take your money and run...
