My son was an extra for a Vodacom add (on a roof top in JHB Central Town) in June-12. Up to date he still hasn't received payment and he is not the only one.
I have phoned Chameleon Casting a few times already and everytime I was given an excuse. I have sent various emails and finally I received an email on the 13 Dec-12 promising me that it will be done the next week.
It is now a month later and a new year and the child still hasn't been paid. On the 10th Jan-13 I was told that the above person will try and have it done as soon as possible. Today I queried it again and was told that somebody else is actually doing the rebook payments and they will only be released next week.
I think the treatment is disgusting just imagining how may other people are there waiting to be paid. Is this normal for casting agencies to wait months before they pay there people?
