After my phone was, i called vodacom so that they could do a sim swap for me. the consultant asked me the standard security questions like when did i last recharge? how much and the 5 numbers i call the most. i answer all these and he tells me he cannot perform a sim swap because he called the number and someone is using it. he tells me this person also answered the security questions correctly. he cannot disclose who this person is so i ask to speak to somebody else, i explain the situation and what the first consultant told me and i ask that they change the security question to when did oyu start using the number or details used to RICA the number. I was referred to a supervisor who told me the same thing. i explain to them that details of a recharge and balances are available via sms, they send them to you when you recharge and that the numbers i call the most are on my call log under favourites so the person who has the phone has had access to them... i beg that they block the number so that if this person is who he claims to be he will go to vodacom to have his number unblocked. he refused to do that so this accessed my facebook and emails and other personal stuff!
