SLIP UP ON UPGRADE-INCORRECT BILLING

On 18/10/2013, I upgraded my contract. with vodacom to a smart s with a samsung galaxy S4. The amount would be R399.00 per month. On monday 21/10/2013, I was shocked when I viewed my account which showed a balance of R 7716.05 which would be debited on 31/10/2013 from my bank account. I immediateley logged a call with vodacom, reference S3-T3H2X-XOW4T. What amazes me, is that the person who handled my upgrade, did not even ask me if I wanted to do a once off payment. After several calls to vodacom, including this morning 28/10/2013, no solution has been provided. I am worried that the money goes off my account and I cannot fulfil my other payments. I have contacted my bank asking to stop my debit order, however they cannot guarantee it will be stopped. If it is stopped, vodacom will probably block my number due to non payment, and then what. I must suffer for their mistake. Just for interest, I have been wirh vodacom since 2004.
