I visited the Centurion branch of I burst to effect a change of ownership of account. I pay the account but it is not in my name. The person attending to me asked for 3 months bank statement, ID & proof of address. I told him that my physical address reflects on the bank statement (the bank obviously needs to FICA all new clients and so any statements are considered acceptable as it pertains to FICA). In fact, I recently used these same statements to finance a new vehicle. Wesbank accepted this as proof address. So two banks have accepted my proof of address in accordance with FICA rules but I Burst chooses to lose two clients and enforce preposterous rules, all because I need to have the account put in my name! The account I've been paying for all this time! Give me a break! I need to provide a separate proof of address. Are you kidding me!
