I have been a client of Vodacom for more that 10 years with the same cell number. My contract recently ended and i chose to convert to pay as you go until i had decided what new contract i want to take. However when i contacted Vodacom to take out a new contract i was told that i could not take out a new contract and keep my same number as there was a 6 month waithing period but they could not tell me the reason for this rule??? I was also told that the only way i could keep my same number was to take out a new contract with MTN or Cell C and have my number ported. I cannot believe that Vodacom are forcing their long standing loyal customers to go to other service providers, it just not make any sense!!!
