On Saturday (27/4) i purchased a 2nd hand Blackberry 9780 for R1800 from CASH CRUSADERS. I was told that I have a 6 month guarantee on the product. the phone was tested and all seemed fine, or so I thought! I put the phone on charge as soon as I got home. Not long thereafter I noticed that the phone was switching off at any given time and rebooting itself. This continued for about 3 days and after many attempts of trying other batteries, the problem persisted. When I finally returned the phone they told me that they cannot refund me. As far as the new Consumer Protection Act this is illegal! NO WHERE on the receipt does it state that I, as a customer, an not entitled to a refund. This just confirms that they sold me a bogus, dysfunctional product and now they are unwilling to take responsibility for it!!! The owner offered to give me a new battery free of charge. I DO NOT WANT A NEW BATTERY. I want my money back and I will not settle for anything less.
