Sparkling with the spirit of excitement and magical adventure indeed... I found myself experiencing such a feeling this evening as I headed out to watch a movie with my siblings, but was bitterly disappointed when I was refused admittance due to not wearing shoes. Such a pity that this small detail could not be forgiven. I wonder how Grand West would have handled the situation if I did not have the money to buy shoes? What if I had recieved a movie voucher from a friend as I did not have the money myself, would I be refused then? At what point is there a call to reconsider policy and rules? What counts as special circumstances: not owning shoes or a personal choice not to wear them? I should hope that Grand West would condescend to admit entry to a person who cannot afford to buy shoes and who does not walk barefoot by choice, but after the way I was treated tonight I highly doubt that this would be the case.
