I have several times faxed cancellation of a TV License to SABC as they requested (with an affidavit), once last year and twice this year. I followed it up with posting them the originals. NOTHING HAPPENED. Just as an added extra I emailed a letter to SABC to cancel my License. NOTHING HAPPENED, so I repeated the email several times for weeks on end but to no avail. After I left SA (I have since immigrated permanently) I receive an email to say I must do the affidavit??? I explained I had done so, but heard nothing. Then I got bombarded with pay your TV license requests or else and Bills and told that if I do not do the Affidavit that the license amounts will accrue for the rest of time and I will be liable? I wrote back to explain and all I get is the same old email back with an attachment and the explanation of the affidavit. No one reads my replies where I say I have already done this. I am now being held to ransom and made to look like some criminal? I AM NOT going to do yet another affidavit, I have been very kind in redoing it so many times for the SABC and no more. You cannot keep asking me to do the same thing when I have done what you asked several times already. NO MORE
