I, Leonard Walstroom, bought a pre-owned Mercedes-Benz A 170 Classic from CMH NISSAN MIDRAND on the 11 of January 2013. The Kilometres on date of purchase were 166007, on the 20 of February my Daughter who is the only driver of the above vehicle went to the dealer to collect the licence disc. The clutch collapsed on her way back home, she was about ten kilometres from the dealer when she had a breakdown. The dealer was contacted for help, we spoke to Mr Stewart Harrison who was the salesman when we bought the car, and according to Mr Harrison there was nothing they could do to help us. We arranged to have the car towed and the following morning I took the car to ALL-O -MATIC TRANSMISSIONS where I was told that the clutch had completely collapsed and they quoted me R21000.00 for the repairs. I contacted Mr Craig Sowden in connection with the repairs of the clutch. CMH collected the clutch for inspection and three days later they rejected my claim for assistance. I believe the treatment I received from CMH was very unfair and I received no help from them at all. We only had the car for six weeks and drove less than 2000 KM.
