I purchased a pre-owned Renault Clio at CMH Renault/Nissan and from day one, literally within an hour, I picked up a problem with the car, the problem was resolved but since then the car has been a constant hassle. The car is once again at a workshop (Not a Renault or CMH workshop) and the bill has come up to R20 000.00. I went through to check up on the work that is being done and when I put my foot on the clutch I told the mechanic that it didn't feel normal, he told me that that is how the clutch is supposed to feel. It's absolutely appalling that I bought this car from CMH, they claim they do 101 point checks, I took it there for all the repairs and not once did they mention that the clutch isn't in a good condition. I believe that if I knew of this problem earlier, much earlier, I would have avoided paying R20 000.00 for repairs on the gearbox and clutch. The most ridiculous part about all of this is that Mr. Sowden cannot help me because he was not with the dealership when I bought the vehicle.
