I have been insured for about 3 years with I direct, I thought they were a good company & referred 5 friends that have policies with them now... Oh how wrong I was, my fir claim was about a year ago for a cell phone that was I had to fight for them to finally pay out, anyway I over looked it... about 3 weeks ago I did a claim for my TV (Half the screen does not work) however when I bang the back it starts to work. I explained this to the claims person at ABSA we laugh about it... A week later not response from ABSA on the 8 th day I get a call telling me that they are going to send some to pick up the TV. It was pick up as promised, the following day I received a call from ABSA informing me the then will not pay out the claim due to the damage being wear & tear. I tried to explain how can Half the screen break due to wear & tear .they refused to consider the claim even spoke to a senior person. I was spoken to like child... it seems that they try to get out of paying any claim & only will pay out if the client can force them to the 5 friends I referred to ABSA I have contacted them to cancel they policy i agreed to pay half their policy if they move company
