Failure to delive

Booked a one way bus trip from JHB Park Station to CPT to depart at 18h30 Thursday 28th & arrive Friday 29th at 12h30.By 7h30pm, the bus had not arrived. Received an SMS at 7h32pm advising a 90 minute delay. At 7h52pm, received another SMS advising a 3hr delay.By 9h30pm, the bus had still not arrived and we were then informed that the bus was not available. Due to unsafe conditions at JHB Park Station and the fact that I needed to be in CPT by 3pm on the Friday, I went home and booked a flight for Friday morning instead. At 11h43pm, received another SMS advising a 5hr 30min delay. I am deeply disappointed with the lacking ability to deliver by Greyhound and the erroneous way the delays were communicated. As a result, I wish to institute a claim for damages against the company amounting to R2, 967, broken down as follows:

Greyhound Bus Ticket: R652
Cost of Cab Service to Gautrain Station: R200
Cost of Gautrain Ticket to OR Tambo: R115
Cost of Flight to CPT: R2000

Awaiting response from Greyhound, otherwise pending legal action.
