My wife and I flew from Durban to Cape Town on 13 March 2013. We had some documents to deliver to a company in Cape Town. We were aware that my daughter-in-law had surgery to her sinuses earlier and that my son had a growth removed from his knee. They agreed to meet us at the airport. It was painful to see my son struggling on crutches. His wife looked well and was happy to meet us. She was driving because my son could not bend his knees. We planned to get the documents delivered on arrival and finalise any queries that may arise the next day and then fly back home.
On the way into the city my son, who is a doctor, explained that his wife received news on the way to the airport that she would have to undergo surgery as the previous one may have caused complications. My wife and I realized that we had to extend our stay.
I telephoned Mango and spoke with Mr Scelo, appraising him of our plight. He requested the necessary proof and medical certificates. MANGO agreed to change our flight to a later date with such ease and compassion that in our time of extreme stress they were able to be so supportive and caring. Our sincere appreciation is extended to Mr Scelo and his Supervisor.
