I was bumped off my plane as the result of KULULA overbooking and had to catch the next flight.
For this inconvenience I was given a R400 voucher - which at the time I felt was an appropriate gesture which settled the situation.
Now, today, having spent 30 minutes connected to the call centre, I discovered, courtesy of a grumpy lady, that because I am a discovery vitality member I am unable to receieve an additional discount. Now, I am in the situation where the 30% vitality discount will almost always outweigh the R400 discount - but either way, what stupid system does not cater for both?
This was meant to be compensation for an inconvenience that i experienced as a kulula customer, not as a vitality customer.
The way this manner was dealt with was despicable - and I dont see why I am discriminated against based on my existing discount.
If you know your system cannot handle this, educate your staff about it (and dont let them tell me its unfortunate i feel that this voucher is useless - because it is!!) encourage politeness and provide R400 gift vouchers, and not non-transferrable flight vouchers that do not show up on the website anyway!!!
What an irritating experience!!
