Did my own seat booking over the Internet 3 row from the front and decided I would wait till all passengers were on board. The ACSA lady checked my boarding pass all in order Wants the credit card from which it was paid.
I do not have a Credit card and have been using wifes card for two and a half years.
I try to phone my wife who would Sms the Card details through. My Wife a dedicated and professional teacher, does not like interuptions. Her phone is on voice mail
"2 minutes and we remove your lugguge from the plane" I scratch around to find my backup document. They close the doors and walk away ruthlessly. There was no professional courtesy of any sort. There was no flexibility in tryng to resolve the problem. Clearly Protocol dictates and ruthless action is is dished out just to show who is in command.
The Mango staff were brilliant. I fly on average 5 or 6 times a month Never have I got to the point of boarding where this has happened. All planes were fully booked
