I have been booking through Parsons Letting in Ballito for the past nine years and was satisfied until my last visit. My last visit was in January 2022. When I called to book I specifically asked that there be a dishwasher and a washing machine in the unit as we would be there for 2 weeks. I was told there was a washing machine and that there was a house cleaning service so a dishwasher would not be necessary. We arrived on the 1st January 2022... one remote was not working, the front door handle was almost off the door, the 2 sliding doors were very difficult to open, there was a live wire hanging out of the fan in the living room, there was a broken tumble dryer but no washing machine and the stove was faulty and the cleaning service was only to remove the rubbish. As it was a public holiday I only addressed the issue of the remote with the lady on duty, to which I was told that it would be fixed on the next working day (48 hours later). I then contacted the office the next working day and was told that I would need to go to the office myself for the remote to be replaced, which although not my responsibility I did. When I got to the office I was faced with 2 of the most unfriendly and unhelpful ladies I have ever met. They did not greet or apologize for the inconvenience caused, nor did they have time to hear about the other problems at the unit. So I emailed the Parsons Letting office to let them know about the issues and the reply I received I found to be dismissive and rude. They said they would send a handyman to fix immediate issues - he replaced the front door handle, made a knot in the live wire on the fan and applied some Q10 to the sliding doors. The rest of the issues would be attended to once we left. I was informed that if I had wanted a washing machine with the unit I should have specified it when booking (which I did), and that the quote has a cleaning service fee included, but it is actually a breakage fee not a cleaning service fee and that cleaning ladies only remove rubbish and mop the floor and that if I wanted a full cleaning service I should use their competitor in future! So I guess Parsons Letting no longer needs business - I will definitely never use them again and will never refer them again.
