I bought a Whirpool front-loading washing machine on 17-04-2010. It broke less than a year later and was replaced with a new one 17-02-2011. The second unit broke and was replaced with a new one on 12-04-2012. So I am on the third unit since the original purchase. The third unit has now broken (always a similar problem -- the pump) and Whirlpool expects me to pay for the repairs as apparently the warranty has expired. Frankly I want my money back. If I'm now (probably) going on for my fourth unit, it's clear to me that this model is defective and I would rather switch to AEG or Defy. My mother's AEG machine is still working after nearly 30 years. The Whirlpool machine has an average lifespan of about a year. I certainly refuse to pay for the repairs of this washing machine and I do insist on a cash refund. I don't want to go through this again in about a year's time.
