Lack of communication & appaling client care

I was due to depart on flight KQ711 at 11:30 am on 17 November from Gababone. Our flight ended up being KQ 1780 and it only departed around 7:30pm after having us seated on the plane for more than 45 minutes. During our 10 hour wait we were not kept informed or updated about the delay of our flight.

During the flight I didn't see any Kenya Airways staff going the extra mile to assist especially the elderly and parents of toddlers/infants with discomfort or stress levels. No offer of pillows, blankets etc. No support. Nothing.

Upon arrival those in transit (who missed connecting flights) had to queue for hotel vouchers while only ONE person was assisting them. Around 40 of us then realised our baggage was not coming out.

I then spent 1am to 2:45am at the Nairobi Baggage service counter together with around 40 passengers whose baggage didn't arrive. ONE person capturing our information on the system. There were no apologies, no reasons for why our baggage was amiss, no communication. Complete disinterest.

I had to cancel 2 training sessions for which I traveled here and spent today in my hotel room. I'm still waiting for my luggage to arrive; it's 18:30pm
