Lack of understanding of airline procedures

Upon arrival @ CT Intl Airport, the ground crew/check in staff have no idea what standby passengers are. The woman claims she has no knowledge of such thing. After confirming with the crew / captain on board as well as the call centre agent that standby passengers are permitted dependent on the class of ticket booked th3 check in woman stil denies any knowledge of such procedure. Having come from the industry myself, as both cabin crew and previously ground crew and having family and friends who are captains within this company I am horrified at the complete lack of understanding the staff have of their profession as a whole!
