On the 1 Jan 2013 flights were booked for my mother Mrs. Reginald and nephew (Flight Ref no: LHRTQP) to fly down to Durban with Mango Airlines. They arrived there 1 hr before the flight and followed the cue to check in at the check-in point. As they reached the check in point they were told by the check in assistant that they need to fetch a wheel chair for my mother.(NB: pre booking for the wheelchair assistance was done). However they went and fetched a wheelchair and came back and followed the queue again to check-in but this time they were refused to fly. The reason they were late and check-in for disable passengers is now closed but Non disabled passenger were allowed to check in. I have spoken to the supervisor and she say that she cannot allow my mother and nephew to fly because they were late, I told her that it was not their fault and she totally refused. I am very unhappy about this situation and had to rebook and repay for another flight the next day. Is this how disabled passengers are treated at Mango airlines? If so I will rather let them fly with another airline in future.
