12 Nov I arrived on SA281 at 4:15am from Perth. I proceeded straight to Mango check in. Since all SAA flights to DBN in the morning were sold out, I was forced to use Mango (who is in alliance with SAA). I arrive at check In with my luggage as per my international flight, only to be told that it was 3kg over & that I was in breach of luggage conditions. I explained that I had travelled internationally with SAA & surely an exception could be made for 3kg on a flight predominantly business travelers. The attitude from missy behind the desk was demeaning, without leniency & completely unacceptable. I find it completely ridiculous that Mango are categorically unwilling to help international travelers with MINOR luggage weight issues. What about the obese traveler who weighs 120kg PLUS their allotted luggage allowance!!! I was made to pay a penalty before proceeding with check in. Also, my hand luggage was tiny! None of this taken into account when lambasting me with 3kgs too much! I will refrain from choosing Mango for further connections on international trips. Your service is disgusting, your staff obnoxious and your customer service desk at OR T more lazy than words care to explain
