I flew from DBN to JHB on Sunday 24 November on Mango Airlines and was very upset to find that once I had landed in JHB the padlock on my bag had been cut off and a watch had been out of my bag.
I find it inconceivable that luggage crime still persists, regardless of whether you lock your bag securely or not.
Mango replied with a pre-written and as such insincere letter that it is not their policy to reimburse customers for such incidents and that is a reality in South Africa. This is despite it being their staff that damaged my luggage and the watch.
Is our only option to fly with hand luggage? Where are the cameras to track luggage handling to prevent? Why are they not paying more attention to and damage? As customers we are on the receiving end.
