I have used travelstart for the past 1.5 years to book my business travel. I always wondered why when collecting my hired car that the provider (Capital Car) charged me an administration fee (circa R50) even though I paid everthing upfront to Travelstart. I became suspicious when I booked a car through Ebucks and found that when I collected the car that the provider (Avis) did not charge this administration charge. I then finally investigate the matter and found that this administration charge was over and above the amount paid to Travelstart.
So Travelstart had been qouting a price to me and the end result was me paying more than that quoted -- underhand way to attract potential customers with misleading pricing.
I called the Travelstart call centre on 23 October 2013 and spoke to Ruth who promised to investigate and get back to me. It is now 4 Nov 2013 and I am yet to get a call back.
Rest assured that I will not use Travelstart again.
