I booked two tickets to Zurich, and went through the complicated credit card procedure that SWISS require. I phoned to ensure that the retainer (holding amount) would be unblocked once the payment went through.
SWISS has now charged me for my tickets and additionally charged me another R 16'802.96 (I was notified by the department of my bank) They have been dragging their feet since the 19th of October and I have still not been refunded, my time has been wasted on numerous calls and emails, time which I do not have as I am leaving in two days time... out of pocket of a considerable amount of money. SWISS even sent me an email claiming they had resolved the problem and I could retrieve my [URL Removed] untrue, they are still in posession of it, no one at their offices seems to know why.
This is absolutely appauling business ethics. I have travelled many airlines and most frequently SWISS as I am from Switzerland, One thing I am sure of is that if this were to take place in Switzerland I would never encounter such terrible service and disregard towards a serious situation.
