I booked a flight arriving in UK a month ago and leaving london and arriving in Cape Town tomorrow. I was informed today that there was ' a problem' with my plane and that I would only be able to fly tomorrow via nairobi, with a layover there and another layover in JHB rather than my LDN_JHB_CT original trip, or on saturday.
My own travel agent confirmed that the flight didn't have a problem and was still flying, just that it was overbooked. I am incensed to then see that [URL Removed] is selling seats on the flight I am supposed to be on but apparently cant take and that Im being bumped off.
I think this is appalling and a really bad reflection of SAA and their customer service. I shall not be flying SAA again for as long as I can help it and will certainly not be recommending the airline to anyone. I have been a very good customer of theirs for years. No longer.
