I have been flying EMIRATES for the last few years quite regularly, and never had a bad experience (except dealing with their handling agent BID AIR at Johannesburg airport, what a useless company, rude and unpleasant staff!). My luggage has never been mishandled, all flights have always been pretty much on time (I fly EMIRATES at least four times a year), staff on the plane have always been friendly. Personally, don't understand the complaints about EMIRATES on this site! Just got back from HKG, the flight was overbooked in BKK, I was nicely asked whether I was willing to give up my seat and take a later direct flight to BKK to DXB instead of via HKG, I agreed happily, but apologies were made later (30 minutes prior to departure) and I got upgraded to business class, such a nice airline, no wonder I enjoy flying with EMIRATES!
