Pensioner forced tp buy new bus tickets

I just want to express my utter disgust with the service we got from Intercity - Intercape Express.

my father in law Left KZN this morning (3 Sept) with City Liner but got stuck on the highway in Harrismith due to a massive accident, they were stuck from 3am till 3pm this afternoon and only arrived in JHB 7:30pm tonight, where my husband picked him up. We phoned Intercape and explained the whole situation to them and the response we got was really appalling. They just said that he's got to buy new tickets (R1900) and there's nothing they can do to help him.

Take into consideration that he's a pensioner and that it took him a whole year to save up to visit his family in Namibia.

Really? where has humanity gone to? he didn't miss the bus on purpose, he wasn't late because of poor time keeping, it was out of his control.

We were thinking of taking a bus to visit family in KZN, but I really don't think its going to happen anytime soon.
