My parents bought a point system timeshare with Easy holidays. My father became ill and was unable to work so he asked us, his children to please transfer it into our names. We are now finding it cumbersome to pay for the membership and want to terminate the membership.
Easy Holidays asked for affidavits that confirmed us being unemployed. They still insist on getting 3 months bank statements or a letter from the bank stating when and why accounts were closed. We just want to terminate the membership. The money can rather be used for my father's medical and living expenses. Even if a person is unemployed or know they are financially unable to meet these commitments they state with every email: 'Please be reminded that you have entered into a legal and binding agreement and that you remain liable for all the repayments in respect thereof, should you need further assistance please don't hesitate to contact us at any stage.'
