My elderly grandmother recently took a holiday to visit my family and I in Johannesburg, as a cancer survivor who's never had the opportunity to take a flight anywhere before, I ensured that when I booked a flight ticket for my grandmother to return home that it would be a trip most memorable and exciting. I as well paid the extra fee to ensure my grandmother got a window seat however upon my grandmother entering the plane, there was another person in her seat, when she queried this with a crew member, the crew member did not request for the wrongfully seated person to return to their correct seat, she in fact seated my grandmother at the back of the plane in a seat with no window! The plane was not even fully booked.
The service rendered to my grandmother was not of good standard, This clearly shows the lack of respect the staff member had for an elderly person whom did not know what she was entitled to and what level of service needs to be rendered. The treatment my grandmother received makes me livid and this goes with saying that i ensured my grandmother was not late for the flight. Flight No: JE247
