My complaint refers to the flight I took from KZN (28 July), on Mango Airlines flight JE 272, departing from KZN 21h25, arriving in JHB 22h40.
The rules are, that NO unauthorized persons are allowed on the flight deck (Cockpit), as it is aviation law.
As consumers, rules are enforced & we willingly abide to put on our seatbelts, switch off our cellphones, etc. So how is it that the pilots, decided to change the rules to suite their personal desires.
A young lady sitting in seat 10F, the flight attendant asked her on 2 occasions if she wanted to move, which she did.
She was moved into the cockpit of the aero plane?? Upon inquiry from one of the other passengers, we found that the reason for this was that she was the girlfriend of one of the pilots.
Surely, this is unacceptable. The pilots need to ensure that all their attention is placed on their job, in the interest of keeping all travelers safe.
Their full concentration needs to be on flying the plane.
This team put all travelers at risk, by including an un-authorized person, at the controls area of the plane.
This sort of behavior is unheard of and as a consumer I demand that the relevant disciplinary action is taken.
