Cancellation of contract

We notified Flexi Club that we want to cancel our membership. When we bought the points it was on the understanding that we bought an affordable holiday accommodation, now 25 years later, being on pension it become too expensive to pay all the fees that escalated up to R8118.74. Our latest statement reflect that the Annual Subscription is almost R2000 and the holiday contribution is almost R6000 while it was R4071 in 2012. The refurbishment reserve amount almost doubled from last year.
We send an email to Flexi Club on 3 April 2013 to ask if we can cancel our membership because we cannot afford it any more. They did reply but did not indicate if we can cancel our membership with them. Last month we send another email to them to enquire about the cancellation. They only response was that they will get back to us. Now we received a letter from their attorney -LOUIS HANSMEYER in which they informed us that they already blacklisted us and are issuing Summons against us, this despite the fact that we are still waiting for an answer from them.
