I had to book for myself and three associates for a business trip to Cape Town.
On trying to book the first time, the rates were about R1 000 per ticket.

After filling out the forms and trying to pay, the website didn't accept my payment by way of paying with my Cheque Card. I then tried to pay with an electronic transfer aswell and this was also disallowed by the system on the computer.

Due to how busy I was I only managed to call in and book about two to three days later and on calling back the return tickets had increased from R4 000 for the four of us, to R8 000.

I then called in, & the operator took my booking but asked me to pay a fee for using the phone booking service. I refused and explained my situation, & she then tried to walk me through the booking process on the internet just to find that the kulula website didn't work. I then asked her how I should pay because I needed to go on this trip, and she said I should go and purchase a ticket at a Shoprite Checkers or a computicket. Besides the inconvenience of going out of my way, when I got there this cost me additional R1000, and I had to fly with Mango. Kulula's unreliability cost me R5 000 in total.
