I am a professor at the University of Michigan and in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013 brought a group of students to South Africa for a two-week educational and experiential tour that builds on their knowledge from a course about South Africa.
In 2013, the tour arrangements were handled by Frikkie Beukman of Xpert Shuttle Travel & Tours. The arrangements were better than on any of the previous three trips. Mr. Beukman excelled in in arranging these numerous productive interactions at universities, schools and health facilities. He also planned interesting and informative activities at more conventional tourist destinations, such as the Hartbeespoort Dam.
I would recommend Mr. Beukman and Xpert Shuttle Travel & Tours for any tour experience in South Africa, but especially for more complicated tours where the requirements are somewhat different than in a vacation.
