In October 2008 my wife and I were invited by Quality Vacation Club. They used the normal enticing tactics saying that we you are guaranteed a prize and there is no obligation to buy anything. After a presentation they bribed us with lunch and a consultant started "forcing" us to buy this "different" timeshare. The advantage for us, they claimed, was that as a member of QVC we would get preference for accommodation at one of their resorts anytime even in peak season and that you could phone anytime and you would be guaranteed a booking as they owned the resorts. My wife eventually signed on her own but I did not as I was quite skeptical. We were not even given a chance to read the contract We have had this contract for approximately 5 years and have never succeeded in getting a single booking despite our numerous attempts. We have paid over R 75 000 in membership and management fees which was initially about R3500 pa which has increased ridiculously to R6 211 of which 40 points expire at the end of each year if you don't utilize it... but how can you utilize it if you cannot get a booking Please advise how can we get out of this contract and get our monies, or at least some
