It is very sad that Putco has toyed with its loyal customers for so long, by not making a managerial compromise to settle the employees concerns. I have gotten into debt because I had not budgeted for the Thursday of strike point to month end. Now my transport fare has increased by R 300 for the month and where is that going to come from? I had 17 trips left on my tag... has that gone into the bushes too? A claim of undue enrichment should actually be considered if we the commuters are not refunded our trips. There is no such thing as the strike is beyond our control because Putco has the power to give in what is requested by the labour unions if it deems fit. This is seriously affecting households and communities at large, and the end of the strike we will be fired from our employ because of absenteeism and late coming, and putco will not have anyone to take to work.
