At 3:45 yesterday I disembarked from a flight from George. I had travelled with two small dogs, and a fellow passenger had also travelled with two dogs. Usually th dogs are immediately brought through to the baggage claim counter. This time all the nomal luggage had already passed through the carousel. We could clearly hear through the plastic curtain of the carousel that the dogs were crying and barking in terror as he bags were first sent through first. Close to half an hour after landing the dogs were brought through. In the meantime I had approached the 'gentleman' who was manning the Kulula counter, (I do not have a name, as none was displayed on his Kulula uniform). I pleaded with him to call through and find out where the dogs were. He told me that they were always offloaded last. I told him that this was not the case. He just shrugged his shoulders and ignored me and the other passenger with dogs. I know that he baggage handlers do not work for you, but what stopped your lazy staff from getting off his to try and see what could be done or at the very least ensure that the baggage handlers followed fragile luggage procedures.
